Ingredients required:
- 1 Onion, minced
- 1 lb Ground beef
- 2-teaspoon Shortening
- 1 md Can whole tomatoes
- 1 cn Tomato sauce
- 1/2 lb Lasagna noodles
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- 1 ts Oregano
- 2 1/2 qt Boiling water
- 1/2 lb Sliced Mozzarella cheese
- 1 c Cream cottage cheese
- 1/2 c Cheddar cheese
- 1 Clove garlic menced
Method:
- Take a pan and pour some shortening in it.
- Add chopped onion, garlic and ground beef into the pan and fry them lightly in shortening for about 20 minutes.
- Add tomatoes, tomato sauce and salt and pepper to taste.
- Simmer for 30 to 40 minutes.
- Take lasagna noodles and cook then gently in boiling water with a tablespoon salt for about 20 minutes.
- Take a baking dish and add about 1/3 meat mixture in it.
- Add layer of noodles, 1/2 cottage cheese, 1/3 Mozzarella and 1/2 Cheddar.
- Keep repeating the process of making layers, till the remaining meat gets finished.
- Do the topping with the remaining 1/3 Mozzarella cheese and the yummy mouthwatering recepie of baked lasagna for mothers day is ready to be served.
