  • 3 cups Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1/4 cup Salt
  • 1/4 cup Brown Sugar
  • 4 tbsp Black Pepper (ground)
  • 2 tbsp Cayenne Pepper
  • 1/4 pound Butter
  • 1 quart Water
  • 5 pounds Butt Roast
How to make Alabama Pulled Pig:
  • Take the cider vinegar, salt, brown sugar, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and butter in a pan and mix. Bring it to a boil over medium flame.
  • Add the water and boil. Rub the sauce on the pork.
  • Smoke the pork in a smoker for 6 to 10 hours while adding the sauce every hour.
  • Place the pork in an aluminum foil and add a cup of sauce over the meat. Wrap the meat tightly with the foil.
  • Bake the meat at 175 degrees C for 2 hours. When the meat is done set it to cool.
  • Remove the foil and discard the fat. Pull the meat apart in medium sized chunks and place them in a pan. Pour the sauce over it and bring it to a simmer.
