• 3/4 Cup of tamarind juice.
• 2 Cups Rice (Cooked)
• 1 tsp Urad Dal
• Cup Peanuts
• Chana Dal
• Bunch Curry Leaves
• 2 Green Chilies
• 4 red chilies
• 2 tbsp Mustard seeds
• 2 tsp Turmeric
• 1 tsp Asafoetida (Hing)
• Cup Oil
• 1 tsp Jeera
• Salt ( to taste)
How to make Andhra Tamarind Rice:
Soak the tamarind in one bowl of water.
Extract thick juice from it.
Take a cooked rice in a bowl add little salt , tamarind juice and mix it well. keep this bowl aside.
Take a frying pan add oil to it.
Now add Mustard seeds, Channa Dal, Urad Dal, curry leaves, peanuts, red chilies, jeer , Asafoetida, and green chilies fry it for 3 minutes.
Mix fried ingredients to the rice bowl.
Tamarind rice is ready to eat.
Serve with coconut chutney.
