Ingredients:
  • 1 Green Chilly (crushed)
  • 1 Bread Slice
  • 2 tsp Rice Powder
  • 1 Egg
  • Few Curry Leaves (crushed)
  • Oil (to fry)
  • 1 cup Prawns (cleaned)
  • 1 Onion (medium, crushed)
  • 1 tsp Ginger Paste
  • 1 tsp Garlic Paste
  • Few Coriander Leaves (finely chopped)
  • ½ tsp Pepper Powder
  • Salt (to taste)
How to make Chemmeen Vada :
  • Sprinkle salt on prawns and steam it for 10 minutes.
  • Let it cool and crush in a grinder.
  • Make bread crumbs using the bread slice.
  • Beat egg into a large bowl.
  • Put the crushed ingredients, along with coriander leaves, salt, garlic-ginger paste, rice powder, and bread crumbs into the beaten egg. Mix well.
  • Apply little oil on palms and shape the mixture into small balls.
  • Deep fry these balls in oil until brown and transfer on a tissue paper.
  • Sprinkle pepper powder over the vada.
Suggestions:
Serve with tomato sauce.
