| • | Preheat oven to 350°F

| • | In a mixing bowl, combine flour, berber, sugar, and salt and mix by gradually adding the water so that a thick paste can be obtained.

| • | Remove the mixture from the bowl and knead it on a lightly-floured surface for a few minutes to form thick dough.

| • | Add the softened butter and knead for an additional 5 minutes.

| • | Let the dough rest in a cool place for 10 minutes.

| • | Divide the dough into handful-size portions and roll out each into long pencils like shapes.

| • | Cut the rolls into pieces; cook each piece on an ungreased skillet over a medium heat, until they turned lightly browned on all sides.

| • | Place the pieces on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 30 minutes.

| • | When done, remove from oven and allow it to cool.
|
| • | Dabo Kolo is ready to serve. |
