Indian Recipes : Dal Palak Recipe

Ingredients:
• 1/4 Cup masoor dal
• 2 Bunches of spinach
• 2 Tomatoes
• 2 Onions
• 1 1/2 tsp Ginger-Chilli paste
• 1 tbsp Oil
• Salt and sugar to taste
How to make Dal Palak:
Chop the palak into small pieces and cook with sufficient quantity of water.
Wash dal and cook it with turmeric powder in a pressure cooker.
Heat oil in a frying pan and put few cumin seeds. When cumin starts spluttering add onions and fry till they become golden brown.
Add ginger-chilli paste to it and again fry for a minute.
Mix chopped tomatoes. When tomatoes get cooked, add palak and cooked dal. Now add water and salt. Boil the mixture for few minutes.
Remove from fire.
Dal Paalak is ready.
Serve with chopped coriander leaves.
