| Ingredients: |

• 1/4 Cup masoor dal
• 2 Bunches of spinach
• 2 Tomatoes
• 2 Onions
• 1 1/2 tsp Ginger-Chilli paste
• 1 tbsp Oil
• Salt and sugar to taste

| How to make Dal Palak: |
| • | Chop the palak into small pieces and cook with sufficient quantity of water.
|
| • | Wash dal and cook it with turmeric powder in a pressure cooker.
|
| • | Heat oil in a frying pan and put few cumin seeds. When cumin starts spluttering add onions and fry till they become golden brown.

| • | Add ginger-chilli paste to it and again fry for a minute.
|
| • | Mix chopped tomatoes. When tomatoes get cooked, add palak and cooked dal. Now add water and salt. Boil the mixture for few minutes.

| • | Remove from fire.
|
| • | Dal Paalak is ready.
|
| • | Serve with chopped coriander leaves. |
