  • 2 quarts Vegetable Oil (for deep frying)
  • ½ cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp Black Pepper (ground)
  • 12 oz shucked Oysters (drained)
  • 2 Eggs (lightly beaten)
  • ¾ cup fine Bread Crumbs
How to make Deep Fried Oysters:
  • Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer.
  • Mix together flour, salt and black pepper.
  • Mix the oysters in flour mixture and dip in egg. End by rolling them in bread crumbs.
  • Slide the oysters into the hot oil.
  • Cook the oysters for about 2 minutes till they turn golden brown.
  • Remove and drain on paper towels.
  • Serve hot.
