Ingredients:
  • 2½ cups Milk
  • ½ cup whipping Cream
  • 3 tbsp Sugar
  • ½ cup Powva/Chiwda (flaked or pressed rice)
  • 5 tbsp slivered Almonds
  • 1 tsp Cardamom Powder
  • ½ tsp powdered Nutmeg
  • 3/4 tsp Vanilla Essence
How to make Doodh Powva:
  • Rinse and drain the powva. Keep aside.
  • Boil milk, reserving ¼ cup, with sugar.
  • Stir the cream into the reserved ¼ cup milk.
  • When the sugar has dissolved, add powva and continue stirring until the mixture thickens.
  • Add almonds and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Remove from the heat and leave aside for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add the cream, nutmeg, and vanilla. Mix and set it in the
  • refrigerator.
  • Serve cool.
