  • ¾ cup Butter
  • 4 (1 ounce) squares Unsweetened Chocolate
  • 4 Eggs
  • 2 cups Sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 cup All-purpose Flour

    For Walnut Crunch Topping
  • ¾ cup packed Brown Sugar
  • ¼ cup Butter (cubed)
  • 2 Eggs (lightly beaten)
  • 2 tbsp All-purpose Flour
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 4 cups Walnuts (chopped)
How to make Fudgy Walnut Brownies:
  • Grease a 13x9x2 inch baking pan.
  • Place butter and chocolate in a heavy saucepan and melt on heat. Stir well until smooth.
  • Remove and cool the mixture slightly.
  • Take a bowl and combine together eggs and sugar. Beat until fluffy.
  • Stir in vanilla and chocolate mixture.
  • Add in flour and mix well until well blended.
  • Pour the batter into the baking pan.
  • To prepare the topping, combine together brown sugar and butter in a saucepan.
  • Cook, while stirring, until the butter is melted.
  • Add eggs, flour and vanilla. Mix well.
  • Mix in walnuts.
  • Spread the mixture over the brownies batter.
  • Bake the batter at 350°F for 40 to 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs.
  • Remove and cool completely on a wire rack.
