  • ½ kg Mutton
  • 1 tbsp Coriander Powder
  • 1 tsp Chili Powder
  • ½ tsp Pepper Powder
  • ½ tsp Turmeric Powder
  • ½ inch piece Cinnamon
  • 6 Cloves
  • 2 Cardamoms
  • 2 tsp Vinegar
  • 2 tsp Ginger (sliced)
  • 8 cloves Garlic (crushed)
  • ½ cup Onion (chopped)
  • ½ cup Oil
  • Salt (to taste)
How to make Kerala Mutton Fry:
  • Grind cinnamon, cloves, and cardamoms together into a fine powder.
  • Combine meat the powdered spices, coriander powder, chili powder, pepper powder, turmeric powder, vinegar, ginger, garlic, and salt. Mix well and keep aside.
  • Place the meat in a pan. Pour water to cover half the meat.
  • Keep adding hot water to it, as and when required.
  • Cover the pan and cook till the meat turns tender and liquid dries out completely.
  • Heat oil in a pan and fry onions until golden brown.
  • Add to the meat and cook for sometime.
  • Serve hot.
