  • ½ cup Tur Dal
  • ½ cup Raw Rice
  • ¼ cup Black Gram Dal
  • 8 Green Chillies
  • Small piece of Asafoetida
  • 2 sprigs of Curry Leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil
How to make Kerala Vada:
  • Keep the rice and dals in water all night.
  • Next morning, drain and grind them all together with chillies, curry leaves & asafoetida making into nice paste.
  • Flavor it with salt to taste and mix. Shape it into small balls and flatten them with wet finger.
  • Heat oil in a pan and fry them until it turns nice golden brown.
