  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 1/2 cup white Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/2 cup Sour Cream
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp Lemon peel (freshly grated)
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose Flour
  • 1/4 cup Cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Baking soda
  • 3 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 2 cups Sugar
How to make Lemon Loaf Cake:
  • With a mixer beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time and blend them thoroughly with the mixture.
  • Now add the sour cream, vanilla, and lemon peel and beat for two minutes.
  • In a separate bowl mix the flour, cornstarch, salt, and baking soda and pour over the egg mixture.
  • Mix well
  • Pour the mixture into a loaf pan and bake for 165 degrees centigrade for 35 minutes.
  • Cool for five minutes and over it pour the mixture of lemon juice and sugar.
  • Allow it to set for sometime before serving.
