  • 2 pounds Beef (ground)
  • 1 pound Pork (ground)
  • 1 cup Bread Crumbs
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 medium Egg
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 medium Onions (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 cup Butter

    For Making Onion Sauce
  • 3 cups Onions (thinly sliced)
  • 1 cup Butter
  • 6 tbsp Flour
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 ½ cups Beef Broth
  • 1/2 cup Milk
How to make Meatballs in Onion Sauce:
  • Soak the bread crumbs in milk.
  • Mix all the ingredients listed for meatballs, except butter.
  • Form meat balls the size of walnuts.
  • Melt butter in a well.
  • Brown the meatballs well in the butter and allow to simmer, covered, for an hour.
  • In the meantime, sauté onions in butter, in a separate pan, until they are caramelized.
  • Blend in flour and salt.
  • Slowly, add milk and beef broth and stir until the sauce become thick.
  • Pour the onion sauce over meatballs and serve.
