  • For the Crust:
  • 2¾ cup Flour
  • 1 cup Butter
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • ¼ cup Sugar
  • ¼ to 1/3 cup Water

    For the Filling:
  • 3 ripe Pears (halved and cored)
  • ½ cup Heavy Cream
  • ¼ cup Sugar
  • 7-8 pieces crystallized Ginger
  • ¼ cup Vodka
How to make Pear Tart:
  • Prepare dough by combining flour, butter, salt, sugar, and water.
  • Refrigerate for half an hour. Remove and roll out into a large circle. Line into a 10-inch pie plate.
  • Bake in a preheated oven to 400 degrees F for 15 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  • Soak ginger in vodka for sometime.
  • Remove and chop finely.
  • Sprinkle over the bottom of the pie crust.
  • Place the pears over it.
  • Beat cream with sugar.
  • Add vodka and whisk well.
  • Pour over the pears and bake at 400 degrees F for 30 minutes.
  • Serve warm or cold.
