| • | Pit and cut the plums.

| • | Put them in a kettle.

| • | Peel off and chop the apples coarsely.

| • | Add these chopped apples to plums. Add vinegar also.

| • | Boil and reduce the flame. Simmer for an hour, stirring the mixture occasionally.

| • | Add spices, salt and sugar.
|
| • | Bring to boil again. Reduce the flame and simmer.
|
| • | Cook it uncovered until thickened.
|
| • | Transfer it into hot canning jars leaving 1/8-inch space.
|
| • | Seal the jar and process it for about 10 minutes in boiling water bath. |
