  • 300 g Semolina
  • 100 g Black Gram
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Oil
How to make Rava Idli:
  • Soak black gram in water for 6 hours and grind into a nice paste.
  • Add rava and enough water to make a smooth batter.
  • Flavor with salt and mix well.
  • Oil the idli mould and pour the batter.
  • Heat water in a pressure cooker and place in the stand. Cover the cooker and steam the idli moulds for 10 minutes on high heat.
  • Reduce the heat to low and steam for another 5 minutes.
  • Serve hot with sambar and chutney.
