Ingredients:
  • 20 Soya Chunks
  • 4 Shallots
  • 6 Garlic Cloves (crushed)
  • 1½ tsp Red Chilly Powder
  • ¼ tsp Turmeric Powder
  • ½ tsp Pepper Powder
  • 1 tsp Chicken Masala
  • 2 stems of Curry Leaves
  • 3 tbsp Oil
  • Salt (to taste)
How to make Soya Fry:
  • Soak soya chunks in water for around ½ hour. Squeeze out excess water and cut into 3-4 small circles.
  • Combine together shallots, red chilly powder, turmeric powder, pepper powder, chicken masala and salt in a grinder. Grind into a smooth paste.
  • Add garlic and process for 2 seconds.
  • Toss in soya chunks and curry leaves. Marinate for 15 minutes.
  • Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the soya chunks until crusty.
  • Serve hot.
