Hazelnut Butter Cookies

Ingredients:

• 2½ cups Hazelnuts or Filberts, finely chopped
• 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
• 2 cups Flour, sifted
• 1/4 cup Sugar
• 1 cup Butter, room temperature
• 1/2 tsp Salt

Cooking Instructions:

• Sift flour, salt and sugar together in a bowl
• Combine butter and vanilla
• Add 2 cups well chopped hazelnuts to this mixture and mix it well
• Shape the dough into balls of 1/2-inch
• Roll half of the balls in remaining hazelnuts
• Place them on the greased baking sheets
• Bake at 350° for about 20 to 30 minutes
• Roll plain half of the hazelnut cookies in sifted confectioners' sugar while still warm
• It makes about four or five dozen cookies for you.
