- 6 oz Sauerkraut
- 3 oz Stale Bread (grated)
- 2 oz Onion
- 1 quart Kvas
- Salt and Pepper (to taste)
- Peel and rinse the onions. Grate them.
- Combine sauerkraut, onion, and bread together.
- Pour over kvas and mix to obtain a thick liquid.
- Sprinkle with salt and pepper and serve cold.
