- 300 g Semolina
- 100 g Black Gram
- Salt (to taste)
- Soak black gram in water for 6 hours and grind into a nice paste.
- Add rava and enough water to make a smooth batter.
- Flavor with salt and mix well.
- Oil the idli mould and pour the batter.
- Heat water in a pressure cooker and place in the stand. Cover the cooker and steam the idli moulds for 10 minutes on high heat.
- Reduce the heat to low and steam for another 5 minutes.
- Serve hot with sambar and chutney.
