Yellow Pea Soup
- 2 cups dry Yellow Split Peas
- 8 cups Chicken Stock
- ½ medium Onion (chopped)
- 1 Ham Shank (smoked)
- Salt (to taste)
- Pepper Powder (to taste)
- Keep the yellow peas soaked in water overnight. Drain.
- Put chicken stock, along with peas in a saucepan and boil for 5 minutes.
- Stir in ham shank and onion. Cook on medium flame for 2 hours.
- Flavor with salt and pepper to taste.
- Take out the ham shank and serve it hot.
