This recipe is easy. A couple of things to keep in mind - 1. I used coarse besan sold as "laddu besan" in Indian Stores. 2. The syrup has to be "Ek taar ke" consistency. I was able to get very decent burfi once I ensured above.

i followed the proportions given to the T, however landed up with besan halwa and not barfi. The next time i think i will try by just adding powdered sugar and no water.
