Ingredients:
  • 1 large meaty Lamb Shank
  • ¼ cup Seasoned Flour
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 6 Dried Apricots
  • 6 Dried Plums
  • 2 small Turnips (quartered)
  • 4 Red Potatoes (quartered)
  • 2 Carrots (sliced)
  • 1 Onion (sliced)
  • 2 cups Beef Stock
  • 1 cup Red Wine
  • 1 Cinnamon Stick
  • 1 tbsp Cumin Seed
  • 1 Orange (zest & juice)
  • ¼ cup mixed Black & Green Olives
How to make Braised Lamb Shank:
  • Preheat the oven to 300°F.
  • Sprinkle seasoned flour over the lamb shank.
  • Heat oil in a pan and fry the lamb until brown.
  • Stir in the remaining ingredients except olives and get it to a boil.
  • Braise it covered in the preheated oven for 2-2 ½ hours.
  • Add on olives and serve hot.
