Ingredients:
  • For the Fish:
  • 1½ kg Lutefisk
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 200 ml Water

    For the Sauce:
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 3 tbsp Flour
  • 500 ml Milk
  • Salt to taste
  • White Pepper to taste
  • ½ tsp Nutmeg
  • Black Pepper to taste
How to make Lutefisk:
  • Take fish with salt, water in a greased pan and cook it covered for 15-20 min on low flame. Then remove the water.
  • Heat butter in a pan and pour into flour. Get it to boil.
  • Put in milk gradually stirring continuously for 5-10 min. Then simmer until it is thick.
  • Mix in all flavorings and heat it for 2-3 sec.
  • Serve lutefisk with the sauce.
