  • 500 g Pomfret
  • 50 ml Oil
  • 10 g Kashmiri Chilies
  • 1 small piece Ginger
  • A pinch of Cumin Seeds
  • A pinch of Mustard Seeds
  • A pinch of Cinnamon
  • 2 Cloves
  • 6 Peppercorns
  • 10 g Tamarind
  • 15 g Onion
  • 20 ml Vinegar
  • Salt (to taste)
How to make Masala Fried Fish:
  • Cut the fish into pieces removing the fins, bones, and intestines. Make deep cuts on each fish piece.
  • Combine all spices, along with salt, tamarind, onion, and vinegar. Grind to a fine paste.
  • Fill the fish pieces with the paste. Bind using a string. Keep the pieces aside until the paste is absorbed in.
  • Heat oil in a pan and fry the piece until golden.
  • Serve hot.
