  • 200 g Noodles (boiled)
  • 4 Button Mushrooms (sliced)
  • 5 Spring Onions (chopped)
  • 1 Carrot (thin long strips)
  • 3 cups Vegetable Stock
  • 2 tbsp Corn Flour
  • ½ tsp White Pepper Powder
  • 2 tbsp Chilli Oil
  • 6 Garlic Cloves (sliced)
  • ½ cup Cabbage
  • 1 Green Capsicum (chopped)
  • ¼ tsp Monosodium Glutamate
  • Salt to taste
How to make Shanghai Stewed Noodles:
  • Heat chilli oil in a deep pan and sauté garlic for few seconds.
  • Add onion and all the vegetables except cabbage and sauté for a minute.
  • Add white pepper powder, salt and toss it.
  • Dissolve corn flour in the vegetable stock and keep it aside.
  • Now add cabbage with other veggies and toss it.
  • Add stock and bring the whole mixture to boil.
  • Simmer the flame and cook for 3 minutes.
  • Add monosodium glutamate and mix.
  • Put noodles in a big bowl and add the mixture.
Serve hot.
