Ingredients:
  • 1 Kg Fish (Cleaned)
  • 1 tbsp Red Chili Powder
  • 2.tbsp Coriander Powder
  • ½ tsp Fenugreek
  • 5 Clove Garlic
  • 1 tsp Jeera
  • ½ Jeera Powder
  • 1 Big Onion ( Sliced)
  • ½ tsp Mustard Seeds
  • 2 springs Curry Leaves
  • ½ tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 2 inches piece Tamarind
  • ½ tsp Pepper
  • Ginger (Crushed)
  • Oil
  • Salt ( to taste)
How to make Meen Kuzhambu:
  • Take tamarind extract . Keep it aside in a bowl.
  • In a mixer add ½ onion, garlic, jeera, pepper and make a paste.
  • Add grinded paste into tamarind extract bowl and add coriander powder, jeera powder, chili powder and salt.
  • Take a pan add oil, mustard seeds, curry leaves, once it start spluttering add fenugreek seeds and then add remaining ½ onion and turmeric powder fry it until onion becomes brown.
  • Now add tamarind extract, once it begins to boil add ginger.
  • Finally add fish and cook it in low flame until fish is done.
Suggestions:
Serve with rice or chapati.
