Ingredients:
  • 2 cups Rice Flour (roasted)
  • ½ Coconut (shredded)
  • 200 gm Jaggery
  • 2 Cardamom Seeds (grounded)
  • 2 tsp Ghee
  • Salt to taste
  • Banana Leaf
How to make Sarkkara Ada:
  • Take flour with lukewarm water in a pan and mix well. Put ghee, cardamom, salt to taste and mix well.
  • Shape it into medium size balls.
  • Take water, jaggery in a pan and boil until it gets half liquid. Then strain it removing the solid stuff.
  • Combine the liquid with coconut.
  • Place the rice balls on one side of banana leaf and press them lightly. Top up them with coconut mixture.
  • Fold up the leaf and steam it.
  • Serve it hot.
