Ingredients:
  • 1/8 cup Olive Oil
  • 1 pound Beef (ground)
  • 1/4 cup Bacon
  • 4 Pork Hocks (meat removed)
  • 2 Onions (chopped)
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Pepper
  • 14.5 oz Sauerkraut (drained)
  • 2 cups short-grain White Rice (uncooked)
  • 4 cups Chicken Broth
How to make Serbian Pork And Beef Casserole:
  • In a large skillet heat the oil and then cook the beef, bacon and pork meat until brown.
  • Add the onions and stir.
  • Sprinkle the salt and pepper.
  • Add the rice and sauerkraut and stir to mix thoroughly.
  • Place the mixture in a casserole and add the chicken broth and stir.
  • Bake it in a preheated oven at 190 degrees C for 45 minutes until the rice is cooked. Do not let the water dry out. Occasionally add water if necessary.
