Caramel Cup Tassies Recipe
Ingredients:
• 14 Ounces pkg of individually wrapped caramels
• 1/2 Cup shortening
• 2 tsp Coffee flavored liqueur
• 2 Cups all-purpose flour
• 2/3 Cup white sugar
• 5 Ounces evaporated milk
• 1/2 Cup butter
• 1 Cup butter
• 8 Ounces package cream cheese
How to make Caramel Cup Tassies:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Beat together the flour, cream cheese and 1 cup of the butter flavored (flavored shortening) until well blended. Into a mini muffin tin, press dough.
Then, bake it at 350 degrees F for eighteen minutes.
In a microwave, melt the caramels.
Add 1 can of the milk (evaporated) and 2 teaspoons of the coffee flavored liqueur.
Keep aside thickening.
To Make The Topping: Combine the butter, the remaining 5 ounces evaporated milk, white sugar, the remaining 1/2 cup shortening, and 2 teaspoons coffee flavored liqueur.
Beat for at least eight minutes.
To Assemble: Pour caramel mixture into the baked cups and wait ten minutes and then garnish with the topping mix. If desired, dot it with ground pecans.
