Just like the name, this snack too is quite interesting in its taste. It wouldn't be wrong to call it a Japanese version of a pancake.

Ingredients:
  • 1-1/2 Cups mochiko (sweet rice flour)
  • 3 tbsp Granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp Black sesame seeds

  • Roll the dough into balls and then steam.
  • Knead the dough once more and roll into large coils.
  • At this point, any integrated flavorings (here sesame seeds) are added.

  • Lay the cut dough on straw mats and dry in the sun.
  • Season them with soy sauce and mirin blend.
  • Grill the crackers.

the recipe looks easy, however 4 noobs, it doesn't specify time to steam dough balls & how. Mirin and soy are both liquid, I assume I have to brush the cut dough with a brush? Are they ready to eat when golden on the grill or when? still good recipe
