  • 2 large Tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp Moong Dal
  • 2 Onions

  • For Topping
  • ½ teacup Spinach, chopped
  • ½ teacup Cabbage, shredded
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 2 tbsp Baked Beans or Tomato Ketchup
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 1 Tomato, chopped
  • Cheese, grated to serve
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
How to make Vegetable Broth with Lentils:
  • To make the stock, chop tomatoes and onions into big pieces.
  • In a pressure cooker add 6 teacups of water and cook moong dal.
  • Strain dal once is cooked.
  • In a pan, stir fry onions for a minute.
  • Add the vegetables and stir fry for another minute.
  • Add the stock and cook for 10 minutes.
  • Further add the tomato, beans, pepper and salt to taste.
  • Serve hot.
