  • 1¾ cups Flour
  • 2 cups Dark Brown Sugar
  • ¼ cup Butter
  • 2 Eggs (beaten)
  • 1½ cups Milk
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Essence
  • 120 g Chocolate (melted)
  • 1 cup Almonds (grounded)
  • 2 tsp Baking Powder
  • ¼ tsp Soda Bicarbonate
  • 1 tsp Salt

    For Chocolate Frosting:
  • 105 g plain Chocolate
  • 60 g Butter (softened)
  • 180 g Icing Sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Essence
  • 1 tbsp Milk
How to make Chocolate Fudge Cake:
  • Preheat oven to 350 °C.
  • Grease a baking pan with butter and flour.
  • Sift flour, brown sugar, baking powder, soda, and salt in a large bowl.
  • Add butter, milk, and vanilla essence. Whisk thoroughly until light and smooth.
  • Beat eggs with melted chocolate.
  • Add to the flour batter and whip for another 2 minutes.
  • Fold in almonds.
  • Transfer the batter into the greased baking pan and bake for 45-50 minutes.
  • Remove and cool to room temperature.
  • Slice the cake horizontally into two parts.
  • To prepare the frosting, combine chocolate with butter in a pan and heat until melted. Take off from heat.
  • Stir in icing sugar, vanilla, and milk. Beat until smooth.
  • Spread the chocolate icing on the lower piece of cake.
  • Place the top cake piece and coat again with the icing.
  • Drop the remaining icing on the sides of the cake.
  • Refrigerate until set.
  • Slice and serve cold.
