Ingredients:
  • ¼ tsp Chat Masala
  • 1 bunch Cilantro
  • 100 gms Dry Green Peas
  • 1 whole Garlic Clove
  • ¼ tsp Garam Masala Powder
  • ½ inch Ginger
  • 2-3 Green Chilly
  • ¼ tsp Jeera
  • 1 Onion (Chopped)
  • 25 Panipuri Shell
  • ¼ tsp Red Chili Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 4-5 tbsp Sev
  • Sugar to taste
  • 1 Tomato (Chopped-optional)
  • 1 Lemon Size Tamarind
How to make Masala Puri Chaat:
  • Soak peas overnight and pressure cook with salt to taste.
  • Divide it into 2 equal parts; keep one part aside and the other use it to make masala.
  • Masala making:
  • Grind cooked peas with green chilly, cilantro, garlic, and ginger to a soft paste.
  • Boil the paste with garam masala and chat masala.
  • Add the other ingredients and let it cook in masala.
  • Tamarind chutney:
  • Soak tamarind for about 30min, extract thick juice, to this add salt, sugar, jeera powder, and red chili powder and cook till the acrid smell is gone.
  • Hand crush, 5-6pani Puri shells.
  • Add few pressure cooked peas add masala, 1/2 a tsp of tamarind chutney, sprinkle a pinch of chat masala and garnish with chopped onion, tomato and sev.
