- 1/2 cup Confectioners' Sugar
- 3/8 tsp Salt
- 3/4 cup Warm Water
- 1/4 cup White Sugar
- 1 tbspPowdered Milk
- 2 tsp Milk
- 1 Egg White
- 3 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 1 Egg
- 1 Egg Yolk
- 3/4 cup Dried Currants
- 1/4 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1 tbsp Active Dry Yeast
- 1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
- 2 tbsp Water
Method Of Preparing
- Combine about 1-1/2 cups of the flour, the yeast, and cinnamon in a large mixing bowl and along with it, heat and stir 3/4 cup milk, the oil, granulated sugar, and salt in a small saucepan until it become warm. With whole eggs, add some flour to the mixture. For about 30 seconds then, just beat it in an electric mixer on a low speed and then beat on high speed for 3 minutes.
- If you wish to add raisins and hazelnuts, mix them in the mixture and stir as much of the remaining flour as you can mix. Keep kneading the flour for almost 3-5 minutes to make it reasonably soft.
- Then, shape the kneaded flour into a ball and place it in a greased bowl. Cover and let rise until nearly double (about 1-1/2 hours).
- Put it on a floured surface and after covering, leave it for ten minutes. Divide the dough into the number of portions you wish to and shape each portion into a small ball.
- Place balls on a greased baking sheet and let them rise until nearly double their size (30 to 45 minutes).
- With a sharp knife, make a shallow crisscross slash across each bun. Brush with egg white. Make it a point that you serve them hot.
