The University of Castilla- La- Mancha (UCLM) is a public institution of higher and research. It was founded in 1982 and it was only in 1985 that the doors of this institution were open to students. Thus, in comparison, this particular university is considered young. The four campuses under the umbrella Universidad de Castillia are Abacete, Ciudad Real, Cuenca and Toledo. This university sprawls over a campus which is nearly 80,000 square kilometres of area. History
  • The University of Castilla-La Mancha was founded way in 1985. However, it was established formally by the law on the 30th of June, 1982. From the very beginning, this university surfaced as a factor of territorial and social unity.
  • With a clear goal ahead, to act as a keystone for economic, social, cultural and technological development of the autonomous region and responding to their present and future, UCLM is a popular choice for international students spread across the world.
  • Since its inception, Universidad de Castillia has been involved in the academic growth of its students. There are four campuses. Ciudad Real is the headquarters for UCLM and is also the campus where the rector lives. The other three campuses are Albacete, Cuenca and Toledo. Thus, from a small regional university, UCLM has rapidly evolved from 5,570 students to about 28,000.
