Universidad de Malaga

Universidad de Malaga, founded in the 1960s, is a cultural and academic magnet of the region. University Malaga is popular with international students from around the world, and more than 15 percent of its 40,000 students come from outside of Spain. Universidad de Malaga is located in the south of Spain in Malaga province. Malaga, fifth largest city in Spain, with a population of around 650,000, offers an interesting blend of cosmopolitan business centre and a traditional Spanish city. The university was established with the objective of meeting the growing social demands of the region. The university counts many alumni in science and technology fields.

Study Programmes
Universidad de Málaga offers a gamut of subjects, most of which are open to visiting international students. Apart from the usual choices of humanities, sciences, and social sciences, the university also offers international law, prehistory, medieval sciences, advertising, art history, public relations, and education. Courses in international law and humanities are special popular among international students. Science and technology fields of the university are also quite popular.

Spanish Language Courses
At the beginning of each semester, University Malaga runs Spanish language courses. Enrollment in these courses is optional. After completion of the course, students could get certifications like Certificate of Attendance, Certificate of Course, Sufficiency in Spanish Language, Diploma of Hispanic Studies, and Diploma of Higher Hispanic Studies.

Campuses
Universidad de Malaga has two campuses at Teatinos and El Ejido. The campus at Teatinos, located in the north-western area of Malaga, is about 20 minutes from the city centre. It is the new and modern campus and most faculties of the university are located here. Campus at El Ejido is the smaller one. It hosts the faculty of Economics amongst some other faculties. Apart from these campuses, the university has various branches and associated campuses in the neighbourhood towns of Ronda and Antequera.
