Accommodation
Aparting from offering to the students its own residential halls,
Universidad de Murcia assists students in getting outside accommodation
facilities too. There are four private Halls of Residence, individual
and double apartments in Espinardo Campus and Colegio Mayor Azarbe.
Students could also decide to share apartments or live with Spanish host
families. You could also rent flats by yourself.
Second-hand Books
Students could buy second-hand books in the University Information
Service (SIU). This could help them in reducing education expenditure.
Dining
Four canteen facilities are available for general use in Universidad de
Madrid: Centro Social Universitario, Apartamentos Campus, Colegio Mayor
Azarbe and in the Faculty of Economics and Business. Majority of
university buildings have good cafeteria service. one can have snacks
and cold drinks here as wells as have meals.
Activities
Univerdad de Murcia holds activities to integrate foreign students with
local culture and ways. Erasmus Student Network Association or ESN
Murcia holds regular activities for Erasmus students. The university
recognizes the importance of culture at all levels and promotes cultural
activities within university precincts. Cultural Activities Service is
organized for the purpose and it holds events such as exhibitions,
awards, shows, music performances, poetry recitals, plays, workshops,
debates and round table conferences.
Libraries
The University has two large libraries with more than half a million
books which can be used for preparing for the exams. The libraries have
approximate 10,000 scientific journals which can be perused in the
reading areas. The library in Espinardo houses a European Documentation
Centre too. Antonio de Nebrija Library is located on La Merced campus of
the university.
Sports
Universidad de Murcia offers a great number of sports facilities. Most
of these facilities are located in Espinardo although some are in the
city centre too. Facilities made available are sports halls, football
and rugby pitches, seven-a-side football pitches, aerobic and weight
rooms, a gymnasium, tennis and squash courts, training areas, a climbing
wall, an indoor swimming pool and a pelota court. A dedicated Sports
Activities Service promotes and regularly organizes sports competitions
at all levels.
